Dancing at the Zoo

img_3175My husband and I go ballroom dancing. We bring the New Year in with champagne and the Foxtrot. This year we brought 2017 in with the grandkids. Dancing through the zoo with hot chocolate and excited young faces. Sometimes fun is spontaneous , wrestling on the floor or with the tickle monster. Sometimes fun takes effort and planning. This time was that, a trip to the Indianapolis Zoo.

It was zoo lights before and after Christmas. A beautiful display around the area with the usual festivities. Dancing in the dusk with all our amazement at the glorious scenes. Here are some things we saw:

Tropical fish and sharks waltzing in the water.

Dolphins dancing on the sparkling water with an awesome and informing show.

A Tiger prancing and pawing in his confinement, alert to all the activity around him.

Orangutans relaxing in their lethargy.

The Merry -go- Round with the imitation animals dancing circles on their poles with laughing children on board.

Dancing lights abounding everywhere in the night.

Kids frolicking and trying not to spill the hot chocolate that keeps a body warm on a chilly night.

What a wonderful time. We created memories to dance through our minds as they become imprinted for recall.

What memories have you created with your grandchildren? Please let us know.

Debbie
