Kids Say The Cutest Things

Anthony said something that melted my heart. He is our 5 year old grandson my husbAnthony on Tractorand Sam and I are raising. While I was working, Sam and Anthony rode the tractor to the church around the corner. There is an old quaint cemetery there, the kind you love to read the tombstones and wonder about the life and death of the person buried there.

Anthony knows about cemeteries. He goes to see his daddy’s grave site frequently.  Here’s how the conversation went:

A- I have a great-grandmother buried there. (Sam’s mom)

me- When Grandpa and I die, we will be buried there.

A-(with a shocked look on his face) But if you die, who will I marry?

me_(after I stilled my beating heart) You will grow up and marry a girl you fall in love with.

A- Where will I find her? Maybe I can go shopping at the store.

me- That’s a great idea.

People do “shop” for mates in many places. Sam shopped for me and found me in church. Maybe Anthony will find his true love in church. Wherever he does I’m sure God will have His hand in it! Lucky girl! He’s a keeper.

Hope your week is going well!

Love, Debbie
