How do you open the right door to a successful and spectacular New Year? You choose the one that leads to life and hope. That would be God’s door. Here are six ways:
Abide- Seek Him, spend time with Hm. It’s a relationship not a religious ritual. Saturate yourself in His Word so His thoughts become your thoughts. His love and concern for others becomes your love and concern. He will give the increase and fruit will abound.
Anticipate- Look forward to the future with excitement and positivity. Don’t dwell on past mistakes or misery. Where your focus is, is where your thoughts will be, and that is what you will believe. Believe for the best in all areas of life and that will be your reality.
Adore- Don’t just adore the sweet baby Jesus. God is triune; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Adore Him, for He is a door to hope when your world is turned upside down or your future is uncertain (See Jeremiah 31: 17).
Always- God gives comfort and direction as you trust him. He is with you every step of the way, every day, every new year and into eternity. You are always never alone. ( “I promise that I will never leave you helpless or abandon you as orphans… you are one with me, for I will be living in you” (John 14:18a, 20b TPT). This is reason to celebrate no matter what.
Authority- When you align yourself with the Creator of the Universe, you are first in line to open the door to the supernatural spiritual realm where there is power and authority. Jeanne Cook, missionary to Panama, tells about how fear ruled there and how the most powerful witch doctor in Colombia said, “Every child of God has the name of Jesus written in blood on their forehead. In the supernatural realm the light on their foreheads penetrates all the darkness. A horn blows and says there is a child of the most high God walking in the area.” He also said,” We hope that they do not know that they are bearers of the most powerful name in the Universe. We hope they do not know the authority of the spoken Word of God, that every demon, all sickness and circumstances have to come to a screeching halt and bow their knee because the spoken word of God holds the final authority.” Don’t forget you have this power and authority and don’t be afraid to walk in it as the child of God you are.
Active- It goes without saying, but I’m going to say it. The more you sit, the more you want to sit. The more white flour and sugar you eat, the more you want to eat. Choose instead to be active and open the door to health. If you are limited in what you can do, do what you can. Take a walk, strive for any way you can to strengthen your muscles. You will feel better physically, emotionally and spiritually as you tackle your daily tasks.
You will have a powerful, prosperous, and productive New Year as you adore God and open the door to a deeper relationship with Him where peace reigns.
Celebrating with you, Debbie
