"Overwhelmed is good when something good overwhelms something bad!"
By Debra Susan Bowman
Overwhelmed is good when love overwhelms loneliness. Overwhelmed is good when blessed overwhelms stressed. Overwhelmed is good when rest overwhelms the test. Overwhelmed is good when action overwhelms passivity, when joy overcomes depression, when forgiveness overwhelms brokenness. Being overwhelmed is always good when it produces faith, energy, the hope, the love to move on, to push through. Take time out this week to sit before God, to contemplate Him and His awesome promises, to sense His presence. Think of something you need to overcome this week and ask God how He would like to overcome that. Then write it down, think on it, pray over it and say it until victory comes. It is always a good thing to be overwhelmed with God!

"The most powerful thing you can do you can do flat on your back, totally disabled - and that is pray!" Author and Speaker Debra Susan Bowman
You can be disabled physically, emotionally, financially - your situation can render you helpless in so many ways, but you can always pray. Many fail to pray because they see no connection between praying and real outcomes in real life. But praying, alway, always, always makes a difference. Praying always changes things, even if the change seems delayed and shows up some a lengthy time after the praying. The Word says in Luke 18:1 that believers ought to always pray and to never, ever give up. It doesn't matter what has you down, you can get prayed up. In fact, down and out, confined to the couch, is sometimes the best place to be for it resigns you to the one position that is most powerful in life: prone, facing heaven. If you find yourself with no other option - pray! Pray, pray, pray and pray some more. I Corinthians 14:14 tells you to pray with your understanding and pray with your spirit. Philippians 4:6 encourages you to pray about EVERYTHING! Romans 8:26 says pray with every fiber of your being. Fill yourself with prayer until that prayer oozes out and shows up in your life, and in the life of those you are praying for. When all else fails pray and you release God's favor and with His favor comes all you need, even what you can never produce.
"Don't beat yourself you - build yourself up!" Author and speaker, Debra Susan Bowman
You can never beat yourself to a better you. You can never beat yourself up to the next level. You can't beat yourself to victory. You can never make yourself feel better or do better by beating yourself up. Beating yourself up is a bad habit you can break. From now on when something goes wrong, and if you are in the battle to win, something will always be going wrong, and you are tempted to beat yourself up, just declare NO!
Instead of beating yourself up, build yourself up. Say good things to yourself about yourself, even when no one else will. Look in the mirror and say, regardless of what's going wrong in your life; I AM AWESOME! I CAN DO IT! I CAN MAKE IT! I WILL BE HAPPY AND POSITIVE! GOD WILL SHOW ME THE WAY! I WILL DISCOVER A NEW SOLUTION I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE BECAUSE I HAVE GOD WITH ME AND GOD AND I MAKE A MAJORITY!
You can think yourself to a new life and a new life for your grandchildren and it all starts by thinking strong, powerful, positive thoughts about who you are and what you can do. You can't build up your grandchildren if you refuse to build up yourself. King David had some really bad stuff happen to him. He suffered a big defeat and everyone turned against him. But the Word says when everyone was against him he went off by himself and build himself up. Then he came back, regained everyone's confidence, fought for his family and won one of the biggest victories he ever won. (1 Samuel 30:4-6)
Build yourself up today. Your next biggest victory just might depend on it.
"The most powerful 3 words on earth besides I love you are I forgive you." Author and speaker, Debra Susan Bowman
You have to forgive your children. You have to forgive God. You have to forgive yourself. Forgiveness puts the gas in your believing engine. Forgiveness releases the brakes that are keeping your car steadfastly stuck in the past. Forgiveness is like pulling the lever on a big dump truck that lifts the bed and dumps the load. Forgiveness doesn't open the door to abuse, or put you back into the muck, forgiveness releases the load that is holding you back, thats keeping you in the muck. Forgiveness breaks off the chains of oppression and control from someone or something done to you or said to you, so you are now free to move forward, to make headway, to fully press in, to full embrace a new path and a new life. Unforgiveness keeps you thinking about all the negative that was while forgiveness frees you to think about all the positive that might be be. How do you know when you have truly forgiven? When the memory no longer controls. Leave the retribution to God and forgive and keep on forgiving until the freedom arrives and without the load you will run the race faster and longer and you will win!
Love We love our children from the moment of birth and before. It is frustrating when our kids don’t care for our grandkids though. How do you continue … Continue Reading Love or Limitations
"Never listen to the lie - always listen to the life." Author Debra Susan Bowman
Jesus said I will give you life - and not just life, but life in abundance (John 10:10) But, the first part of the verse that gives you that promise also contains a warning - there is a liar, whose goal is to destroy you. If you are pressing into anything, if you are believing God for anything, if you are standing for a breakthrough anywhere in your life, I guarantee you this - you will be lied to. We are all lied to. At those crucial moments in life when something bad or negative happens, or when you are working so hard for a breakthrough you will be lied to, because we have an enemy who is a liar. The question is not whether the accusation or lie will come, but when it comes, the question is, will you listen to the lie or the life? If it tears you down it's a lie - don't listen to it. If it builds you up and brings you life, then listen to it. Some lies are very hard to say no to because they contain a nugget of truth, but if you listen, the lie will get bigger and the truth will get smaller. Say no to the lie, say yes to the truth: you are a child of the King, you are well able, you can do it, you can learn how, you can get what you are believing for, your children will be saved, you will make a difference, listen to the life and you will get your breakthrough!

Debbie's Declaration: Begin a new life for your child, by speaking a new life over your child.
If you want to change the life of a child, begin by declaring to the child the new life you envision for them. A young mind will store every word it hears and it will track toward becoming what is said over them.
Debbie's Declaration: Like asphalt over gravel, you can repave the roads of your mind.
Defeat fear, worry, negative thoughts of fear and doom by paving over old thought patterns with new thought patterns. Get the new thoughts from the Word of God. Research in the Word what you need to think, write it on a 3 by 5 card, carry it around and when the old thought tries to take dominion, read the Word off the card. Say it out loud. Give it a place of honor! Say out loud to yourself, "Thought of destruction, I say no to you!" and then say yes to the Word you have written on the card by reading it out loud and say, "Thought of construction, I say YES to you!" Keep doing it until the new thought is strong and the old thought is weak and you will think yourself to a new life.
Debbie's Declaration: Love overrides the label.
No matter what a child's past: alcohol, drugs, addictions, abandonment, neglect, abuse, or whatever it may be - no label! Love covers a multitude of sins the word says: oddity, stupid, ugly, unloveable, failure, rejected, poor, forgotten, outcast - if you love them, the labels are defeated! Debra Susan Bowman

Debbie's Declaration: Practice Peace
Without realizing it, over time, we practice worry, anxiety, fear and a host of other emotions and outlooks. Then we ask God for peace. But what if He would say back to you, "You want peace? That is a good thing, my daughter! Now go and practice it." You may have invested years in developing a really good worry skill. Now, invest a few minutes in practicing peace - and you will have it!
